What to expect from a Study Strategies class
Parents are often relieved when schools offer Study Strategies classes during the school day. This time can be exceptionally helpful especially when students have after school activities, travel to/from school is time consuming or there is stress between the parent and student when discussing academics. But what is being taught in that class or is it more of a study hall?
📕 Student Workshops are Back 📅
The Effective Student workshop has been scheduled. Students will learn the simple essential steps to successful academic and time management.
Dates: October 22, 29 & November 5,12 Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Topics include:
- Introduction to Executive Functioning
- Organization
- Time Management & Forecasting
- Study Skills
- Performance Analysis
Parents return for the last 15 minutes for a debrief equipping them to support their student at home. Includes binder, Effective Students tab dividers, planner and workbook and lifetime subscription of Effective Student online course access.

Staffing & Location News
We are thrilled to welcome Avis Eichleberger and Katherine Dierdorff to Effective Students. Each brings a wealth of experience with students and are certified the Effective Student Method™. We must give a fond farewell to Milan Sanghani. Milan has been with Effective Students for several years as he finished his degree at SCAD. After graduating this spring, he has taken a full time position as a media writer and we are thrilled for his next step in his career.
New Locations – We are now offering coaching in Roswell and onsite at several metro area schools. If you’re interested in your student being seen during a study hall or elective, please reach out to coordinate with us. Kelly Cook is available to work with students at the Roswell location.
