About Us

At Effective Students™, we use a structured approach to academic coaching, tailored to each student’s unique needs and strengths. 

Our mission is to help students develop essential executive functioning skills, and we make it just as flexible for our coaches as we do for our students. 

You’ll have the freedom to choose whether you coach in-person, virtually, or a mix of both, allowing you to create a schedule that fits your lifestyle. With this flexibility, you’ll meet students where they are on their academic journey and provide the support they need to succeed—on your terms!

What You’ll Do: 

As an Academic Coach at Effective Students™, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of students. 

Here’s how you’ll make a meaningful impact:

  • Inquire: Delve into each student’s unique goals and challenges to craft a tailored coaching plan that sets them up for success.
  • Scaffold: Provide students with the tools to transform overwhelming tasks into manageable steps, fostering their independence and confidence.
  • Model: Demonstrate effective study habits and practical strategies, offering students real-time examples to help them excel academically.
  • Encourage & Motivate: Act as the student’s greatest supporter, helping them build resilience and self-confidence to face new challenges and advocate for themselves.
  • Communicate: Bridge connections between students, parents, and teachers, creating a cohesive team focused on the student’s success.
  • Celebrate Success: Recognize and celebrate every achievement, inspiring students to overcome obstacles and develop perseverance for future success.

What We’re Looking For…

– Experience with students is a plus: Whether you’re a teacher, educator, counselor, or graduate student, we welcome your experience!

– Passion for executive functioning and academic coaching: If you have a keen interest or knowledge in these areas, you’ll thrive! 

– Excellent communication skills: Engage and inspire both students and parents with your strong interpersonal abilities.

– Patience, empathy, and a love for mentoring: If you’re passionate about teaching and guiding students, this role is for you. 

– Experience with specialized educational approaches: Familiarity with Montessori, Orton-Gillingham, or supporting students with ADHD or learning differences is a bonus.
